Neopharm Group‘s management and employees have donated and planted 70 trees at Ben-Shemen forest. This donation to the Jewish National Fund is a part of Neopharm’s activities commemorating the 70th anniversary. The planting of the trees was done during the Jewish holiday Tu B’Shvat which is “New Year for the Trees” and is celebrated on the fifteenth day of the Hebrew month of Shevat.
The area where the trees were planted was destroyed by wildfire last year and it is now rehabilitated, partly due to Neopharm’s donation.
David Fuhrer, Chairman of Neopharm commented: “as part of the commitment to the wellbeing of the community and environment we live in, it was only natural that we donate trees to the addition of forested areas in Israel to mark our anniversary. We see interesting symbolism in the fact the 70 trees will grow everyday simultaneously to Neopharm’s growth in business achievement”
